Doug Cox, Author
Doug Cox is an educator, author and free lance historian. He and his wife, Joyce, have three grown children, and live on a small farm in the City of Penticton. The farm was home to a variety of exotic animals including ostriches, but is now being converted to wine grapes.
Doug enjoys sitting down with an old timer, with a pot of coffee or tea, and getting our exciting heritage first hand. He has published a series of history books on the Okanagan and Similkameen and the ranching heritage of British Columbia. He has been collecting stories and photos for over 35 years.
There is a computer in his den loaded with sophisticated word processing programs, however, Doug also has a working blacksmith shop down by the barn, just to keep in touch with reality.
